As a recipient of Federal funding from the US-Department of Transportation,
The Wave Transit System is required to administer a Disadvantaged
Business (DBE) Program. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program,
as described in Title
49, Code of Regulations, Part 26, offers certified DBEs equal
opportunity to compete for Federally-funded contracts.
The Wave Transit System DBE Program will:
- Provide outreach services & distribute bid information
- Certify Disadvantaged Business Enterprises
- Perform periodic monitoring & reporting of all Federally-funded
projects
Who qualifies for DBE certification?
There are three qualifying factors used to determine eligibility
for DBE certification:
- Business size
- Control-ownership
- Personal net worth
